The SEC has adopted their proposed rule 151a. As a result, they are slated to take control of monitoring Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIAs) as a registered security.
Nick is spearheading a coalition of insurance carriers who are poised to file suit against this rule. In other words, this issue is not over yet!
